Censorship

We believe one of the most important freedoms is the freedom of expression; the freedom of any one person to speak their mind. Without this freedom a country can not be free it can not be a democracy. We will protect this right first and foremost by cutting all funding for the media. Media funded by the government is biased media misleading the people. Media should be funded through television advertisement and donation. The reason for this is the people decide and this will lead to many different news stations funded from all different communities telling their sides of the story. With this people will be able to see all sides of every story and create their own opinions. There will also be very little censoring allowed on online platforms such as social media. Anything that is deemed hateful or discriminatory, threatening, or illegal will be removed and the owner of the account will be suspended or banned from posting on that specific site again. Other than those circumstances users of any online platform will be allowed to post and say whatever they wish and share their view on any issue. Same with public speech if anything said falls into the categories previously listed charges can be pressed resulting in anything from a fine to jail time depending on the severity of the crime. However if the comments do not fall into those categories individuals may speak freely on any topic they wish in any manner they wish.
